Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

Arthroscopy utilizes a pencil-like telescope, with a lens system, camera, and video monitor to inspect the joint through a very small, 2-3mm incision. Through similar small incisions arthroscopic surgery can be performed without opening the joint through a large incision.

Below is a select list of some of the arthroscopic knee procedures offered by Dr. Smit and some information on each topic.

ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) Reconstruction
Meniscus (Cartilage) Surgery

Additional information about the various procedures can be found in our Frequently Asked Questions.
